Silkfloss was founded by Du Quan and Zhou Jie in Beijing, 2003, who got to know each other through the internet. However, the band has undergone some changes and is now on suspend. The name of the band originated from the ID Du Quan used online and was later considered to be a proper description of the musical style of the band.
